Shruthi celebrated family day (May 15th) with husband Mahendra at town hall watching Prahlad Acharya's magic show.

Shruthi had stopped acting for a while, as she would soon be a mother. When asked if she would stop acting, she said acting was her passion and this was a break but she would be back very soon. She also said that after this she would be very choosy regarding her roles.

Unlike her husband she is not interested in direction or production. When asked her is the theme love has taken over the theme of family, she said that family and love are complementary. All movies will have equal doses of love, family, sentiments , laughter and cry.
