Deccan Herald: Prahlad does houdini with Udupi chariot

UDUPI, Aug 31: Mr Prahlad Acharya, the well-known Indian Houdini, proved his mettle by making the world famous Udupi Sri Krishnamath golden chariot which is valued at more than 1.5 crore, disappear for several seconds.

He performed this trick before a large gathering including Pejawar Math seer Sri Vishweshshateertha swamiji, Sri Vishwaprasannateertha, Sri Lakshmivarateertha and Bananje Sri Raghavendrateertha.

The stage was set-up in front of the golden chariot near the Kanakana kindi. He had challenged earlier that he would make the golden chariot disappear and make it appear within 5 minutes without any changes in the position or in the form.

Mr Acharya counted one, two and three and the chariot disappeared for few moments into the bright light which hit the diaz, astonishing the participants.
